About Gridpedia

Gridpedia is an independent, fan-built reference for Formula 1 results, standings, records and tools. It covers every world championship race since 1950. There are no accounts, no tracking beyond basic analytics, and the site is paid for by advertising.

Data sources

Race results, qualifying, sprint results, standings, drivers, constructors and circuits come from the Formula 1 Race Data dataset published on Kaggle under the CC0 public domain dedication, originally compiled by the Ergast project, and mirrored by TracingInsights. Session times follow the published FIA timetable. Circuit outlines are unofficial traces from the f1-circuits collection by Tomislav Bacinger, MIT licence.

The site is rebuilt from a local copy of that data after each race weekend, usually within a few hours of the chequered flag. Pages never load data from outside the site while you browse. Last data build: 2026-09-30 07:19 UTC, after round 15 of 2026.

Counting rules

Unless a page says otherwise: sprint results count for championship points but not for race wins, podiums, poles or fastest laps. Shared drives before 1958 credit each driver with the classified position. The Indianapolis 500 counted for the world championship from 1950 to 1960 and is included in those seasons' results, but left out of all streak records. A streak ends when the driver does not start a race. Fastest laps are counted from 1982, the first season with complete lap timing in the data. Pole position means fastest in qualifying where that data exists (1994 on), otherwise the first grid slot.
