Who runs this site

Gridpedia (gridpedia.org) is published by Filmstead Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14465798, registered office 14 Devonshire Square, Lower Ground Floor, London EC2M 4YT, United Kingdom). Contact: admin@filmstead.co.uk. Filmstead Ltd is the data controller for any personal data described below.

What the site does not do

There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter and no tracking of individuals by us. The site is a set of static pages; reading them sends nothing about you to our servers beyond the ordinary web request handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which logs requests for security and performance for a short period under its own privacy policy.

Games and preferences

The games store your progress, streaks and best times in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Correction form

If you send a correction, the page address, your message and, if you give it, your email address are emailed to admin@filmstead.co.uk so we can check the data. We use them only to handle the correction and to reply if you asked for a reply. They are kept as email for up to twelve months and not shared with anyone else.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, and, with your consent, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other sites. If you are in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, a consent message asks for your choice before any personalised advertising is used; you can change your choice at any time using the "Privacy settings" link in the footer. Details of how Google uses data from sites that use its services are at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Analytics

If enabled, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

Fonts

The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you (normally only what you sent through the correction form), ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Write to admin@filmstead.co.uk.
